Jeff Harris

About Jeff

As Associate Vice President of Mergers & Acquisitions, Jeff values the conversations he has with prospective partners and the ways he’s able to identify the true value of Carson partnership from his previous experience at a local bank. He works to paint a clear picture of how financial advisors can get back to running, growing and loving their business.

Jeff comes from a family of entrepreneurs and has first-hand knowledge of how much blood, sweat and tears goes into building a business. As a result, Jeff is able to think creatively when it comes to succession planning and provide solution that work for our partners.

Jeff has a bachelor’s degree in economics from St. Olaf College, with an emphasis in finance and a statistics concentration. He earned his Master’s in business administration from Midland University, where he helped coach the women’s hockey team to its first national tournament appearance in program history. In addition, Jeff holds the Certified Mergers & Acquisitions Advisor designation along with his Series 65 license.

Prior to Carson, Jeff worked at a local bank in the wealth management division, supporting two wealth advisors. That experience gave him valuable insight into the financial services industry, and allowed him to see first-hand how many hats advisors wear on a daily basis.

Jeff is married to his beautiful wife, Deanne, whom he met in college. She was captain of the soccer team while Jeff was captain of the hockey team. Jeff is blessed to be a father of two children, Avery and Levi. His passions include hockey, golf and any adventures he can go on with his family. Faith is an important part of who Jeff is, and he is actively involved with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes hockey ministry.
