Mike Drennen

Vice President, Business Consulting

As Vice President of Strategic Relationships, Mike’s primary focus is to support the growth efforts of all the strategic partners within Carson Group.  By leveraging all the tools and resources available through Carson Group and his prior experiences working with RIA firms, Mike strives to deliver innovative and strategic solutions to help our partners achieve their goals.

Mike joined Carson Group in July 2017.  Prior to joining Carson, he spent eight years at Fidelity Investments and most recently as a member of the National Accounts Relationship Management team supporting many of the largest and most complex clients within the RIA industry.  Mike was responsible for supporting the strategic and daily operational needs of his client base, driving net new assets to the platform, creating new revenue opportunities and improving the overall profitability for each client.  Before joining the National Accounts team, he spent time in Fidelity’s Asset Management division as a Director of Finance as well as several different positions within the firm’s Finance and Accounting divisions.

Mike began his career at Fifth Third Bank in Cincinnati, Ohio as an associate in their Financial Leadership Program. Mike earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio and holds his Series 7 and 63 licenses.

He currently lives in Boston, Massachusetts with his wife Katie, his two daughters Charlotte and Madelyn, and their dog Brady.  Mike enjoys spending time with his family, playing soccer, basketball, golf, and is an avid Florida State Seminoles fan.
